Orders returned due to an incorrect or incomplete address may require additional shipping charges before being reshipped.

  • Opened or used chemicals are not eligible for return.

  • Ceramic coatings, coatings, and other sealed chemical products cannot be returned once opened.

  • Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility unless the return results from our error or a verified product defect.

Refunds are processed after returned merchandise has been inspected.

9. Professional Product Disclaimer

Many products sold by The Detail Department are intended for professional automotive detailing use.

Customers are solely responsible for:

  • Reading all product labels.

  • Following manufacturer instructions.

  • Reviewing applicable Safety Data Sheets (SDS).

  • Using proper protective equipment.

  • Testing products in an inconspicuous area before full application.

  • Using products only as intended.

Automotive detailing chemicals, coatings, compounds, polishes, cleaners, dressings, and tools can permanently damage paint, trim, leather, plastics, wheels, glass, fabrics, and other surfaces if used improperly.

The Detail Department assumes no responsibility for damage resulting from improper product selection, misuse, incorrect dilution, improper application, failure to follow manufacturer instructions, or use outside the intended purpose.

10. Equipment Warranty

Machines, polishers, pressure washers, extractors, vacuums, and other equipment are covered only by the manufacturer's warranty unless otherwise stated.

The Detail Department does not provide additional warranties beyond those offered by the manufacturer.

We are happy to assist customers with manufacturer warranty claims whenever possible.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

Except where expressly required by law or expressly provided by the manufacturer, all products and services are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE."

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Detail Department disclaims all implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
